Agartala: A local court in Khowai district convicted three people for their involvement in a brutal murder six years ago and sentenced them to life imprisonment.
The convicts were identified as Bidhu Debbarma, Selen Debbarma, and his son Alakesh Debbarma of Ramharipara village under Champahowar police station for murdering one Samir Debbarma while he was returning home after attending a marriage ceremony in the village in February 2017.
After six years of a long trial, the Additional District and Sessions Judge of Khowai District sentenced all three accused to rigorous imprisonment for life under Section 302 of the IPC on Monday.
