Tripura ADC polls: Nine file nomination for 6 seats on first day

The leftists candidates arranged huge gatherings and rallies before submission of nomination

Ambassa: With an effort to show their public support and strength, six leftist candidates submitted their candidature for the ADC election in the northern Tripura district of Dhalai Wednesday.

The district of Dhalai consists of six constituencies of ADC. And on the first day of the schedule for submission of nomination the leftist candidates for all the six seats submitted their nominations along with three other candidates from other political parties. The leftist’s candidates arranged huge gatherings and rallies before submission of the nomination. The candidates of the left front include Arun Debbarma for Halhali-Asharambari constituency, Badarbhum Halam for Demcharra-Kachucharra, Champarai Aslong for Chawmanu, Matilal Shuklabiadya for Manu-Chailengta constituency, Sukhomoy Debbarma for Kulai-Champahour, Alendra Riang for Ganganagar-Gandacharra and Prabin Tripura for Raimavalley constituency. Leftist leaders like MLA Nirmal Biswas, former MP Jitendra Choudhury, former MLA Lalit Tripura, former MLA Anjan Das, veteran Gajendra Tripura and others accompanied the candidates during submission to their respective returning officers.

In addition, IPFT candidate for Kulai-Champahour constituency accompanied by Minister Mevar Kumar Jamatia submitted his nomination. Two candidates identified as Nakul Riang and Rajesh Tripura of Tipra Motha of royal scion Pradyut Kishore Devvarman for Ganganagar-Gandacharra and Raimavalley respectively submitted their nominations Wednesday.
