Imphal: In the last 24 hours leading up to 2 pm on Thursday, Manipur reported one related Covid death taking the cumulative tally to 1,956. During the same period, 61 persons (51 general populations, 10 CAPF) tested coronavirus positive while 28 persons recovered and were discharged, as per an official release from the health department.
The lone person who succumbed on Thursday is from Imphal West. He had co-morbidities and had not been vaccinated for Covid.
Of the 51 persons who tested positive from the general population, 28 are from Imphal West, 17 are from Imphal East, six from Thoubal, four from Kamjong, two each from Bishnupur and Kakching and one each from Chandel and Ukhrul.
Altogether, 1,725 persons were tested for a positivity rate of 3.5 %.
Meanwhile, 28 persons recovered and were discharged Thursday, one of them from home isolation, five from CCCs, 21 from JNIMS and one from RIMS. The recovery rate in the state now stands at 97.96 %.
The cumulative number of positive cases is 1, 24,700 out of which 1,22,160 have recovered leaving 584 active cases.
The total number of doses administered on November 17, 2021, is 7,565, the cumulative number of doses administered is 20,83,653(1st dose 12,65,965, 2nd dose 8,17,688).
