Amaravati: A thunderstorm accompanied by lightning is likely to occur at isolated places in North Coastal Andhra Pradesh, Yanam, South Coastal Andhra Pradesh, and Rayalaseema during the next 48 hours and on September 31 and October 1, the Meteorological Centre said on Wednesday.
In a daily weather report here, it said that light to moderate rain or thundershowers are very likely to occur at many places or at a few places in North Coastal Andhra Pradesh, Yanam, South Coastal Andhra Pradesh, and Rayalaseema during the next seven days.
Rainfall occurred at a few places over Coastal Andhra Pradesh, Rayalaseema, and Yanam, and dry weather prevailed over the last 24 hours.
The southwest monsoon has been normal over coastal Andhra Pradesh and Rayalaseema, the report added.
