Senapati: The three (3)- Days District Level Training for Census 2027: House listing and Housing Census (HLO) for Senapati District begins today at Conference Hall of Office of the Deputy Commissioner, Senapati.
The training was jointly organised by Directorate of Census Operations, Manipur and District Administration, Senapati under the supervision of Principal Census Officer (PCO), Senapati
Speaking at the event, the Deputy Commissioner of Senapati and PCO of Senapati Mamoni Doley, IAS welcomed the participants and emphasized on the significance of the exercise. She said that the 16th census was originally to be scheduled for 2021, it was postponed due to covid pandemic. The DC urged the trainees to maximize their learning from the expert trainers and called for seamless cooperation between Sub- Divisional Officers (SDOs) and staff to ensure successful conduct of Census 2027
The sessions are led by Joseph Lanah, Deputy Director, Directorate of Census Operations (DCO), Manipur and Yeveinai Kh, Statistical Investigator Gr. II, DCO, Manipur. The curriculum covers on Introduction to Census 2027, Role of Census Functionaries and Legal Provisions, Fund management, Manpower, Publicity activities, building the foundation of census, procedures, concepts and definition used in census. The trainees were also provided hands- on training on the Census Management and Monitoring System covering user registration, modules features and Management.
The programme was attended by PP Ronald, Additional District Magistrate, Senapati/ District Census Officer, Senapati, Nydia Nengneichong Mate, District Statistical Officer, Senapati/ Addl. Deputy Census Officer, Senapati, Sub- Divisional Officers and its staffs.
