The declining trend in Arunachal Coronavirus cases: Health dept

The state registered 22 new Coronavirus cases during the past 24 hours that took its tally of confirmed cases to 53,732.

Itanagar: Maintaining its consistent declining trend in active COVID-19 cases, Arunachal Pradesh, for the first time in the second wave, on Sunday recorded the case positivity rate below the one-per cent mark.

The state registered 22 new Coronavirus cases during the past 24 hours that took its tally of confirmed cases to 53,732.

Of the fresh cases, Itanagar Capital Complex accounted for the highest 11 cases followed by Lower Subansiri with five detections.
Ten of the total cases were found to be asymptomatic and 12 symptomatic, according to a bulletin issued by the state Directorate of Health Services here.

On the other hand, 57 patients recuperated in the period that lowered the state’s active caseload to 526 and increased the total number of recoveries to 52,936. So far, 270 people have died due to COVID-19 infections in the State.

While the COVID recovery rate raised to 98.52 per cent, while the positivity rate stands at 0.98 per cent and the death rate is 0.50 per cent, as per the bulletin.

Arunachal Pradesh on Sunday tested merely 1633 samples for COVID-19 that took its cumulative figure to 10,93,778, the bulletin said.
