Imphal: Water Resource and Relief & Disaster Management Minister of Manipur, Awangbow Newmai, attended the celebration of the successful NAAC (National Assessment and Accreditation Council) accreditation of Tamenglong College (with Grade B) at Multipurpose Hall on Tuesday.
Speaking as the chief guest of the function, Awangbow Newmai congratulated the college on achieving this feat and said, “Let us hope this college will be graded higher in the future”. The minister further states that encouragement and cooperation are very important.
It may be mentioned that NAAC assessment has become mandatory for all higher educational institutions in the country.
A journal, “Ideas and Insights from the Highland,” was also released by the dignitaries on the occasion, and a short video of the NAAC peer team visiting the college was also screened.
The function was also attended by MLA, 53-Tamenglong AC, Janghemlung Panmei; and Director, University and Higher Education, Dr. Rangitabali Waikhom, who attended the function as the guest of honour and president, respectively. Teachers, non-teaching staff, and students of the college also attended the function.
