Hyderabad: Praising film actor Sonu Sood for rendering great service to the people during the Covid-19 pandemic, Telangana IT and Industry Minister KT Rama Rao on Monday called him a ” Real Hero”.
Participating in a felicitation programme of Covid-19 warriors, organized by Social Impact Group at HICC, in Madhapur here, Mr Rao said that the Bollywood actor has rendered his service to the people during the Covid-19 pandemic without selfish motive.
The Minister said, whenever challenging times arise, the Government alone cannot do the whole thing to the society.
As a responsible person in society, Sonu Sood did a great job during the Covid-19 pandemic. But, he was being terrified with IT raids and Enforcement Directorate (ED) searches, he added.
“Don’t get afraid of this, you are a great hero. We are along with you. To continue good work, the Telangana Government is also ready to join hands with him”, Mr Rao said.
Sonu Sood said the necessity of himself would not arise if like-minded people like the Minister was living in the society. Several people lost their jobs and their beloved ones due to Covid-19, he said.
Stating that his motto is to help the people in society, the actor said he extended his services from Kashmir to Kanyakumari.
