Gangtok: Sikkim reported four new Corona positive cases in the last 24 hours, an official said.
There are 54 active cases in the hill states. Out of the total 6183 cases registered so far 5897 have been discharged on recovery, said Sonam Bhutia, Information, Education and Communication member.
“There have been no deaths, therefore, the total deaths remained at 135,” he said.
A teacher of a girls’ school was infected with coronavirus on Friday, after which the class where she had been teaching was sealed and 33 preliminary contacts are being tested.
So far, 40,750, including health and frontline workers, people aged 60 and above and those above the age group of 45 to 49 years of age with comorbidity have been inoculated across the state.
