Gangtok: Chief Minister PS Tamang called on Tibetan spiritual leader Dalai Lama on Thursday in New Delhi and invited him to Sikkim.
“We are highly delighted and glorified to meet His Holiness the 14th Dalai Lama.He blessed us and all the people of the state, with his kind words of wisdom and divine teachings and enquired about our well-being,” he said.
According to Tamang, an invitation has been extended to the Dalai Lama, on behalf of the people of Sikkim to visit the State, in October, and he has accepted it.
However, CM visited HH Dalai Lama, in the backdrop of the ongoing damaging propaganda. The Dalai Lama is greatly revered in Sikkim.
