Mumbai: Shiv Sena (UBT) leader and former corporator Upendra Sawant joined Shiv Sena in the presence of Chief Minister Eknath Shinde on Wednesday.
Sawant is a former corporator of the Vikhroli Kannamwar Nagar area of Mumbai and was close to Sena spokesperson Sanjay Raut and his MLA brother Sunil Raut.
Last week, a group of five Congress corporators joined the Shinde faction of the Shiv Sena.
