New Delhi: Union Home and Cooperation Minister Amit Shah on Tuesday urged citizens to change the DP of their social media accounts to Tiranga, the Ministry of Home Affairs statement stated.
In tweets, Shah said, “Have changed the DP of my social media accounts to Tiranga on PM Narendra Modi Ji’s clarion call to celebrate Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav.”
In a tweet, Shah said, “I urge all to change the DP of your social media accounts to Tiranga to show your love and respect towards the National flag.”
Meanwhile, Shah addressed the ‘Tiranga Utsav’ program organized on the birth anniversary of Pingali Venkayya. He honored the family members of Venkayya and issued a postage stamp in his memory, also launching the tricolor theme song.
Today is the 146th birth anniversary of the great freedom fighter, Pingali Venkayya, who made the national flag the symbol of honor and established it among the people.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi has appealed that from August 2, everyone should place the tricolor on their social media profiles, and from August 13 to 15, by hoisting the tricolor at their homes, tell the world that India is marching ahead to be great again under his leadership.
