Imphal: Seven persons from the general public and five personnel of the Central Armed Police Force (CAPF) tested Covid-19 positive in the last 24 hours leading up to 5:00 pm of Wednesday. During the same period, there were no reports of any Covid related death and no recoveries as per an official press note from the Covid-19 Common Control Room
The seven persons (4 males, 3female) who tested positive from the general public include 2 each from Imphal West and Thoubal and 1 each from Imphal East, Churachandpur and Ukhrul.
The cumulative death remains at 374 while the recovery rate now stands at 98.47%
Meanwhile, the Health department has instructed air passengers who traveled to the state on April 5 by Indigo flight (Kolkata – Imphal) 6E-6358 in rows 4-10 and 2-18 and passengers who traveled to the state April 2, 2021 by the Indigo flight 6E-6358 in rows 1-6 to inform Covid Common Control Room 1800343818 or respective District Surveillance Officer (DSO).
The cumulative number of positive cases is 29,447 (General Population — 25,996 and Central Security Personnel — 3,451). The cumulative number of recovered cases is 28,998 (General Population — 25,561 and CAPF— 3,437). The number of active cases is 75 (general population 65 and CAPF 10).
As per the latest information, the number of people vaccinated on April 6, is 948 and the cumulative vaccination number is 89590, the release added.
The total number of health care workers who have been vaccinated is 31744 include the Directors of RIMS and JNIMS, CMOs, DFWOs DIOs of districts, chairman cum managing directors of Shija Hospital and Babina Diagnostics’.
