Seven more test positive for COVID-19 in Arunachal

The state’s active caseload now stands at 85 with 69 of them being lodged under home isolation, the official said.

Itanagar: Arunachal Pradesh’s case tally mounted to 55,174 after seven more individuals have tested positive for COVID-19 during the past 24 hours, a senior health official said.

On the other hand, four persons have recuperated from the disease in the period that shot up the total number of recovered cases to 54,809, he said.

Of the fresh cases, three were detected in Tawang, while Lower Subansiri reported two cases and Itanagar Capital Complex and East Siang came up with one case each. Three of the total cases turned out to be asymptomatic and four symptomatic.

The state’s active caseload now stands at 85 with 69 of them being lodged under home isolation, the official said. The hilly state has recorded 280 deaths due to Covid-19 infections till now.

Meanwhile, over four thousand people across Arunachal were administered the COVID-19 vaccine doses during the last 24 hours that took its cumulative vaccination coverage to 13,28,030.

So far, 7,78,428 beneficiaries have received the first dose, while 5,49,602 have been fully vaccinated.
