Imphal: For the second time, the Sagolband Constituency Progressive Committee (SCPC), in collaboration with the Peace and Relief Committee Sagolband, distributed over 300 blankets at various relief camps, including Wangoo Hr. Sec. School, Wangoo Ahalup Mayai Leikai Community Hall, Wangoo Sellungkhong Upper Primary School, and Laisoi Relief Camp in Thanga on Monday.
Corporator Ward No. 7, Rk Jiten Singh, expressed gratitude for the guidance of MLA Rk Imo Singh in carrying out this benevolent act. Notably, he reiterated that this continuous effort to distribute blankets and other items are from the contribution of a month’s salary as a Legislator of Manipur Legislative Assembly from Sagolband AC. MLA Rk Imo Singh will continue to work for the people of Manipur through the members of the Sagolband Constituency Progressive Committee and will also make all efforts to bring peace and normalcy in the State, he added.
It may be noted that over 200 blankets have already been distributed at the Relief Camps located at Wisdom Palace School in New Keithelmanbi and Recent Hr. Sec. School in Sagoltongba for the first phase earlier this month. The committees also extend their heartfelt appeal to the individuals currently seeking refuge at the relief camps, hoping these blankets bring comfort during these challenging times, and that peace will soon be restored to the state of Manipur, said a press note from the PRO to MLA Rk Imo.
