Mumbai: The Indian Air Force conducted its public outreach programme consisting of various activities including aerial display on 14 Jan 24 at Marine Drive in Mumbai.
The primary objective of this outreach programme was to create awareness and foster a deeper connection between the Indian Air Force and the local community.
The aim was also to showcase the skills, and capabilities, build awareness about the Indian Air Force and also motivate the youth to choose the Indian Air Force as a career. The event was conducted in coordination with the Govt of Maharashtra.
The residents of Mumbai witnessed the air display by the Indian Air Force over the picturesque Marine Drive. Aircraft, airborne from several air bases participated in the display. Maharashtra Governor Ramesh Bais graced the occasion as the Chief Guest. Several civil and military dignitaries also joined the event and witnessed the air show.
The air display consisted of display teams from the Indian Air Force. A display by Akash Ganga team of air warriors skydiving from an AN-32 at Girgaon Chowpatty enthralled the audience with their precise landing.
An impressive display by the Surya Kiran team mesmerized one and all. The SU-30 MKI and Sarang Helicopter display team showcased the professionalism of the Indian Air Force with their perfectly timed and synchronised manoeuvres.
