Bijapur (Chhattisgarh): A 40-year-old cultivator was fatally stabbed on Friday by approximately half-a-dozen suspected Maoists at a bustling agricultural produce market within Usur Police Station limits of this restive district in Left-wing extremism-affected Bastar division.
Rammurthy was targeted when he had gone for selling paddy. People ran helter-skelter in the wake of the homicide.
“However, no rebel pamphlet was found,” SP Anjneya Varshney confirmed.
