Gomel Region: Negotiations between the delegations of Russia and Ukraine in the Gomel region in Belarus have ended, and the parties identified some priority topics, an adviser to the head of Ukrainian presidential office, Mikhail Podolyak, said on Monday.
“The parties have identified a number of priority topics on which certain decisions have been outlined. In order to give the opportunity to implement these decisions … the delegates are departing to their capitals for consultations,” Podolyak told reporters.
The parties discussed the possibility of holding a second round of negotiations as soon as possible, Podolyak added.
“Talks with the Ukrainian side which lasted about five hours have just wrapped up. We discussed in detail all the items on the agenda and found some common points on which we predict common positions can be found,” Russian state-owned news agency Sputnik reported.
