Rohendro bags 1st prize at Fish Fair

Imphal: Salam Rohendro Singh of Laphupat Tera with a total fish production of 25,601 kg won the 1st prize of the Fish Fair Cum Fish Crop Production Competition held 2021 at Mapal Kangjeibung on November 5. He was sponsored by the district fishery officer (DFO), Imphal West.

The 2nd prize went to Ningthoujam, Basanta of Khordak, Bishnupur with a total fish production of 13,193 kg. Basanta was sponsored by DFO, Bishnupur. Tongbram Ashok Singh of Thanga, Bishnupur, who was also sponsored by DFO, Bishnupur won the 3rd prize with a total fish production of 5,358 kg.

The prize for the highest fish production officer for valley went to a jibanlata Devi DFO, Imphal West for a total fish production of 42,631 kg, while for the hills, E Rameshwar Singh, DFO Churachandpur was declared winner with a total fish production of 4,821 kg
