Burhanpur (MP): Shockwaves swept across this district’s Dawalikhurd village as news spread of a young grocer who allegedly strangled his wife and three daughters at their home prior to committing suicide by hanging himself.
Law-enforcement authorities confirmed on Monday that locals alerted them regarding the quadruple homicide by Manoj Rama Gajre who targeted Sadhna, Tanu (3), Neha (8) and Apsara (10). The shocking discovery was made on Sunday by Gajre’s brother who went to fetch milk. The motive is unclear but it transpired that the accused recently lost his psychological equilibrium and the entire family was battling seasonal ailments.
On Gajre’s hand was written ‘Sadhna-Manoj pavitra hain saath jiyenge, saath marenge’ (Sadhna and Manoj are pure they shall live and die together).
