Tarn Taran: Three members of a family have been murdered with sharp weapons in Tung village of Tarn Taran district late night on Tuesday.
According to police on Wednesday, the deceased have been identified as Iqbal Singh, his wife Lakhwinder Kaur, and his sister-in-law Sita Kaur.
Police reached the spot after receiving the information and said the bodies of the three were found in different rooms, and their faces were taped. It is being told that this incident happened with the intention of robbery. The Almiras in the room were open.
According to the police investigation, Iqbal Singh’s son lives abroad. He kept a servant in the house. The servant of the family was kidnapped by the miscreants, who killed three people.
The servant returned home and told police that he had been kidnapped by the killers and was dropped near the canal. However, at first, police said the servant could be involved in the murder.
DSP Iqbal Singh said police are investigating the case.
