Bhubaneswar: President Draupadi Murmu is scheduled to participate in various programmes during her five-day tour to Odisha in two phases in the current month.
In the first phase, the President is scheduled to visit Mayurbhanja, Jharsuguda and Sambalpur from November 20 to 22.
In the second phase, the President will arrive on November 26 at Bhubaneswar and participate in the Boita Bandan Programme at Paradip on the next day.
Odisha Chief Secretary P K Jena held a preparatory meeting on Wednesday for the smooth visit of the President to the state and directed all District Collectors and officers concerned to monitor all arrangement prior to Murmu’s arrival.
Jena directed officials to ensure uninterrupted power supply at all places the President is scheduled to visit. Among other things, the arrangement for her stay, carcade, transport, sanitation, and drinking water were also discussed in detail at the meeting.
