Imphal: In the last 24 hours leading up to 2 pm of Wednesday, Manipur reported three Covid related deaths but its positivity rate improved further to .5% with just eight persons testing positive out of a total of 1,536.
During the same period 22 persons recovered and were discharged, as per an official release from the Health Department.
The three persons who succumbed to the deadly virus are form Bishnupur, Imphal West and Churachandpur. All three of them had co-morbidities and none of them had been vaccinated. The cumulative death toll in the state now stands at 1998.
Of the eight persons who tested positive from the general population, four of them are from Imphal East, two from Imphal West and one each from Bishnupur and Thoubal.
Meanwhile, 22 persons recovered and were discharged, Seven of them from home isolation, eight from JNIMS and seven from CCCs.. The recovery rate in Manipur now stands at 98.26
The cumulative number of positive cases in the state now stands at 1, 25,663 out of which 1,23,483 have recovered, leaving 188 active cases.
The total number of doses administered on December 2 1, 2021, is 4,300, the cumulative number of doses administered is 22,80,399 (1st dose 13,14,719, 2nd dose 9,65,680).
