Puducherry: Lt.Governor Dr. Tamilisai Soundararajan on Tuesday issued a notification for upgrading the existing Government Women’s polytechnic college into a Women’s Engineering College.
According to the notification, the polytechnic college is being upgraded/converted into a Women’s Engineering College (Conversion of Diploma level into Degree level) as approved by the All India Council for Technical Education from the academic year 2022-23.
Courses such as B.Tech (Architectural Assistantship), B. Tech (Computer Science and Engineering), B.Tech (Electrical and Electronic Engineering), and B.Tech (Electronics and Communication Engineering) will be there with the intake of 60 students in each course.
B.Com degree level course would be started from this academic year with an intake of 60 students after obtaining approval from the affiliating Pondicherry University (PU).
