Police issues notice to Dhirendra Shastri’s event

Mumbai : Mira Road police in neighbouring Palghar district on Saturday send notice to organisers of Dhirendra Shastri’s event asking them to give an undertaking that law and order arrangements take care of at their event.
The notice was issued following a complaint made by Maharashtra Andhashraddha Nirmoolan Samiti few hours before commencement of the event.
In the notice, the Mira Road police stated that a large number of people can be expected to visit the venue and it will the organisers’ responsibility to maintain law and order.
The notice also claimed that Dhirendra Shastri has previously spoken ill about Sant Tukaram and it will be organisers’ responsibility to prevent any untoward incident from taking place over the Godman’s rhetoric and have asked organisers to make sure that he refrains from making any such utterances.
