Imphal: Sajibu Seireng Seitinnaba or a poetry session was held on Thursday May 2, on the penultimate day of the 19th ‘Sachipu Inaat Ngaikhang Kummei 2024’ organized by Ima Leishem Inaat Loishang began on April 24, at Panthou Eeshaikonung, Nongpok Chingu Thong, Meitei Laikol, Tharo Sipilok.
Many eminent poets of Manipur participated in the poetry session, including Salam Tomba, Saratchand Thiyam, Nongmaithem Kiran, Netrajit Thoudam, Wahengbam Romen Meetei, Lenin Khumancha, Randhirkumar Yendrembam, Ngangom Ekashini, K. Santibala, Kh. Landonbala, Bimabati Thiyam Ongbi, Sonia Khundrakpam, Thabatombi Ngangbam, M. Sumatibala (Chanuchenbi), M. Geeta (Ichelleima), P Medha, Ph Ninasakhi, Thangjam Dr Munindro and O Chittaranjan.
The Festival will conclude on April 3 with a folk song competition and presentation of awards to two Shumang Kumhei artists, Oinam Arun and Langthabal Robindro both of whom excelled in playing many memorable female roles and Meitei Pung maestro, Asem Binoy for their immense contributions in their respective field.
