New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday unveiled a 108 feet statue of Lord Hanuman at Morbi in Gujarat.
“Many greetings to all the countrymen on the birth anniversary of Lord Hanuman, a symbol of strength, courage and restraint. By the grace of the Pawanputra, may everyone’s life be filled with strength, intelligence and wisdom forever,” the Prime Minister said.
The Prime Minister unveiled the statue through video conferencing. The statue is the second of the four statues being set up in the four directions across the country as part of the Hanumanji Char Dham project.
The first statue was set up in Shimla in 2010. Work at Rameswaram has started. “It is not merely installation of the statue of Hanumanji, it is also part of the resolve of Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat.
Hanumanji connects everyone with His devotion. Ram Katha is being organized in different parts of the country. Whatever be the dialect, the spirit of Ramkatha unites all,” Modi said.Â
