Imphal: Parents of two missing minors, a boy and a girl along with former Minister AK Mirabai Devi met Governor Anusuiya Uikey on Monday and informed her about the disappearance of the two minors earlier this month.
The Governor inquired about their disappearance in detail. She expressed her anguish at the incident involving the minors and assured the parents that she will extend all possible help in tracing the missing minors. She also expressed hope that the missing minors are safe.
The mobile of the missing girl was reportedly traced to the Churachandpur district. Both are residents of the Patsoi Assembly constituency, Imphal,
Meanwhile, Dr Anupam Mishra, Vice – Chancellor, of Central Agricultural University, informed the Governor about the functioning of the University in the prevailing law and order situation
The Governor gave assurances that all measures for safeguarding educational institutions are in place for the smooth functioning of classes.
A team of Kendriya Vidyalaya teachers, Ahampat, Imphal East – headed by Hariom also informed the Governor about the working conditions of the Vidyalaya and the problems faced by the teachers especially those who are based outside Manipur.
The Governor gave assurances that possible assistance will be extended to them.
