New Delhi: Union Minister for Tourism G Kishan Reddy on Monday informed that over Rs 220 crore has been sanctioned to Nagaland under PRASHAD and Swadesh Darshan Schemes for the development of tourist destinations in the state.
“An amount of Rs 220.76 crore sanctioned to the state of Nagaland for the development of tourist destinations under the Swadesh Darshan and PRASHAD Scheme since 2018-21,” Reddy, who also holds the potfolio of Development of North Eastern Region (DoNER), said in reply to a question in the Lok Sabha.
Molungkimong, Noksen, Aizuto, Kohima and Vankhosung has been covered under the PRASHAD scheme, while Paren-Kohima-Wokha as well as Mokokchung-Tuensang- Mon covered under the Tribal Circuits of Swadesh Darshan Scheme of the Ministry, he added.
