One more death Sunday, cumulative toll reaches 1,921

Imphal: Sunday also saw one Covid related death in Manipur, 63 new positive cases (61 general population, two CAPF)  and 62 recoveries, as per an official release from the health department.

The person who succumbed to the deadly virus is from Churachandpur, the person had co-morbidities and had not been vaccinated. The cumulative death toll in the state now stands at 1,921.

Of the 61 persons who tested positive from the general population, 32 of them are from Imphal West, 12 from Imphal East, nine from Kamjong, four from Churachandpur, two from Thoubal, and one each from Jiribam, Kakching, tamenglong and Ukhrul.

Altogether, 1,689 persons were tested giving a positivity rate of 3.7 %.

Meanwhile, 62 persons recovered and were discharged, 16 of them from home isolation, 25 from CCCs, 21 from JNIMS.The recovery rate in the state now stands at 97.88 %.

The cumulative number of positive cases is 1, 23,732 out of which 1,21,102 have recovered leaving 708 active cases.

The total number of doses administered on October 30, 2021, is 13,523, the cumulative number of doses administered is 19,63,833 (1st dose 12,48,726, 2nd dose 7,15,107).
