Imphal: Manipur reported one Covid-related death, 56 new cases of coronavirus infection and 57 recoveries in the last 24 hours leading upto 2 pm of Thursday, as per an official release from the Health Department.
The lone person whoc succumbed to the deadly virus is from Imphal West. He had co-morbidities and had been fully vaccinated. The cumulative death toll of the state now stands at 2105.
Of the 56 persons from the general population who tested positive, 27 are from Imphal West, 13 Imphal East, five from Chandel, three from Churachandpur, two from Kakching and one each from Bishnupur, Kangpokpi, Jiribam, Tamenglong, Noney and Ukhrul.
Altogether 1,479 persons were tested amounting to a positivity rate of 3.8 %
Meanwhile, 57 persons recovered and were discharged, 41 of them from home isolation, four from CCCs and six each from JNIMS and RIMS.
The recovery rate of the state stands at 98.05 %.
The cumulative number of positive cases in the state now stands at 1, 36, 654 out of which 1, 33, 986 have recovered leaving 563 active cases.
The total number of doses administered on February 23, 2022, is 5,162, the cumulative number of doses administered is 26,85, 830 (1st dose 15,04, 101, 2nd dose 11,24, 309) and precautionary dose 57,420.
