Imphal: In the last 24 hours leading up to 2 pm of Friday, Manipur reported one Covid related death, 55 new positive cases (51 general population, one CAPF) and 25 recoveries, as per an official release from the health department.
The lone person who succumbed to the deadly virus is from Imphal West, he had co-morbidities and had taken the 1st dose of the Covid vaccine. With this death, the cumulative death toll in the state now stands at 1942.
Of the 51 persons who tested positive from the general population, 25 of them are from Imphal West, 18 from Imphal East, three from Senapati, two each from Churachandpur and Ukhrul and one each from Thoubal, Chandel and Kamjong.
Altogether, 1,907 persons were tested giving a positivity rate of 2.9 %.
Meanwhile, 25 persons recovered and were discharged, three of them from home isolation, 15 from CCCs, six from JNIMS and one from RIMS. The recovery rate in the state now stands at 97.80 %.
The cumulative number of positive cases is 1, 24,383 out of which 1,21,651 have recovered leaving 790 active cases.
The total number of doses administered on November 11, 2021, is 7,135, the cumulative number of doses administered is 20,40,295 (1st dose 12,58,004, 2nd dose 7,82,291).
