Senapati: The Directorate of Relief and Disaster Management, Government of Manipur has successfully organised a one-day training programme on Disaster Management, Basic Search & Rescue, First Aid, Fire Fighting and Landslide etc. at Multipurpose Hall near DC Office, Senapati.
During the programme, Makakmayum Riyazul Haque, District Coordinator, Dr. Bankimchandra Thokchom, Indian Red Cross Society, Secretary, Imphal West and two officials from SDRF teams were the resource persons.
The officials highlighted the basic concept of Disaster Management and demonstrated with hand on training were given on First- aid, CPR, Ropes & Bandages, Emergency Method of Rescue and Fire Safety measures so that immediate action may be taken in any circumstances.
The training was actively participated by various DLO’s and its staff, police personnel, Youth volunteers and various organisation leaders.
