Octogenarian killed by grandson for property

Circle Officer (City) Gavendra Pal Gautam said that Bachhu Pal alias Phulla (80), a resident of Mawai village, was beheaded by his grandson Chhote Pal with a sharp-edged weapon in the morning. "Preliminary investigation revealed that Phulla used to live with his second son and wanted to transfer his property to him. Chhote, who is the son of Phulla's eldest son, was agitated by this," he said.

He said that Chhote has been arrested and the murder weapon has been recovered from his possession. “The body has been sent for postmortem examination,” he said.
