Itanagar: Arunachal Pradesh Police (APP) has apprehended an NSCN-R cadre from Kangkho area in Changlang district, a police official said on Monday.
Based on a specific input about presence of a NSCN-R cadre in Kangkho area, police conducted a raid on Sunday and apprehended Rajapio Kitsam Kitnya (42), Changlang SP Mihin Gambo said.
The SP said the arrested cadre was involved in encounter with 9 Assam Rifles on March 16 last month where one underground cadre was killed in exchange of fire.
The wanted cadre has been arrested in connection with Changlang PS u/s 121/307/34 IPC R/w sec 25(1)(a) arms act and sec 10/13 UAPÀ, the police official said.
