Kohima: The Nagal rebel outfit National Socialist Council of Nagalim (Isac-Muivah) has directed all of its members and officials to refrain from participating in election campaigns or “mobilization” in accordance with its stance to avoid the Indian election.
An NSCN (IM)’ press release said some of its members were reportedly using the name of the organisation’s collective leadership and authority to engage in election campaigning in favour of certain political party candidates.Â
The release said there is no instruction or order for the NSCN members to take part in the Nagaland state election campaign in favour of any individual, candidate, or political party.
If any member was doing so, he was doing it at his own individual capacity and risk, the release warned, while also directing the members to refrain from getting involved in the Indian election campaign.
It threatened NSCN members who did not follow its directive with appropriate disciplinary action.
