Imphal: The Tengnoupal District Administration organized a special Ningol Chakkouba celebration for the women (Ningols) of Kwatha and Kwatha Khunou on November 3, 2024, at Kwatha Community Hall.
Officials attending on behalf of the District Administration included Ejaj Hassan, SDO Moreh; Moshel Yunglama, Jr BDO Tpl; and Sukur Ali, SDC Moreh. Colonel Shishir Pandey, Commanding Officer of the 3 Assam Rifles, was also present at the event.
During his address, Colonel Shishir extended his warm wishes to the people of Kwatha for a joyful Ningol Chakkouba and assured that the Assam Rifles would continue to support Kwatha with dedication.
SDO Moreh, Ejaj Hassan, also expressed heartfelt greetings and blessings, emphasizing the District Administration’s commitment to the welfare of Kwatha’s people. He acknowledged the resilience and perseverance of Kwatha’s women in the face of ongoing challenges.
The celebration concluded with the officials presenting gifts to the Ningols, followed by a community lunch shared with the people of Kwatha.
