Jamshedpur: Chief Minister Hemant Soren on Monday advocated the need to make Jharkhand as per the dreams of martyrs.
Addressing a gathering organized at Kadma on the occasion of the 35th Martyrdom Day of Shaheed Nirmal Mahto, he said the state will always remember the sacrifice of Shaheed Nirmal Mahto.
He said that the late Nirmal Mahto who was a key leader of the separate Jharkhand movement had laid down his life for a separate state for Jharkhand. He said there is a need to do the work of taking the state forward by following in their footsteps and contributing to the development of the state with solidarity.
On this occasion, the Chief Minister paid homage to the martyr Nirmal Mahto by garlanding his statue. The Chief Minister also paid floral tributes at the memorial of martyr Nirmal Mahto at his residence and met the family members.
The Chief Minister said that under the leadership of Guruji many heroes had given their martyrdom to get the status of a separate state for Jharkhand. Many brave sons of Kolhan division have given their all to get a separate status for the state he said adding there is a need to build Jharkhand as per the dreams of those martyrs for which the state government is working with full commitment.
He said that all the Chief Ministers of the State had come to the meeting of NITI Aayog held in New Delhi. In the meeting, he had said that Jharkhand’s mineral is going to the whole country, but Jharkhand is not getting its proper compensation.
The Chief Minister said that Rs 1 lakh 36 crores is owed by the mining companies therefore the Central Government should work to give this amount so that this money can be used for the all-round development of the state.
