Aizawl: North Eastern Development Finance Corporation Limited (NEDFi) under its CSR initiative “Mission Oxygen Programme” contributed Rs. 15 lakh to CM Relief Fund for COVID-19 Friday.
The Mission Oxygen Programme is set up to support oxygen infrastructure in the 8 states of North Eastern States to combat the 2nd wave of Covid-19 pandemic.
Chief Minister Zoramthanga received the contribution from Lalhruaizela Fanai, Branch Manager, NEDFi, Aizawl Branch who handed over the cheque to the Chief Minister in presence of Lalthasangi, Assistant Manager, NEDFi Aizawl Branch.
On this occasion, Lalhruaizela Fanai informed the Chief Minister that NEDFi is charging only interest at 8% p.a. for loan below Rs. 50.00 Lakhs for entrepreneurs from the state.
It may also be mentioned that NEDFi had earlier contributed Rs.2 crores to PM Cares Fund in support of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s fight against Covid-19 pandemic. NEDFi has financed several hospitals, nursing homes and diagnostic centres in several states of North Eastern Region which have augmented the healthcare infrastructure in the region and also helping the fight against Covid-19.
