Mumbai: The Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) on Wednesday attacked the Modi government over inflation, unemployment, and the steep fall of the rupee.

Maharashtra NCP chief spokesperson Mahesh Tapase alleged that youths were frustrated because of the poor economic indicators.

He said that 4.13 crore beneficiaries of Ujwala Yojana had not refilled their cylinders even once in the last five years while 7.67 crore beneficiaries have refilled their cylinders only once in five years.

The hike in prices of CNG and PNG on Tuesday was almost the ninth hike in a year, he said.

The Maharashtra government, he said, has no time to provide relief to the poor, tribals, farmers, and flood-affected people.
