Imphal: The 37th National Games, Goa witnessed exciting and competitive qualifying moves in the Men’s Gymnastics at the Peddem Sports Complex as Ruban Meitei Sanasam performed to qualify for the final in Vaulting Table and Floor Exercise.
In the Vaulting Table, Ruban Sanasam scored 13.175 securing the third rank in the qualifying round while Ganesh Aryal of Haryana scored 13.275
and Aryan Sanjay Davande scored 13.250. In the Floor Exercise, Ruban Meitei scored 13.10 securing the 7th rank in the qualifying round.
The gymnasts, who have qualified will be competing in the finals of the Vaulting Table and Floor Exercise on 27th October. The Chef de Mission of the Manipur contingent Bobby Waikhom and Deputy Chefs de Mission Takhellambam Dushanta and Ningthoujam Phoni along with Manipur Olympic Association officials Angon Johnson, Thangjam Kirankumar, Ningthoukhongjam Ibungochoubi and Longjam Shantakeshor arrived at Goa to facilitate the teams coming from Manipur.
Chef de Mission Bobby Waikhom said that the teams from Manipur will be arriving Goa in a phased manner according to the fixtures of the disciplines while the Cycling and Golf would be held in Delhi.
