Nashik: On the occasion of Police Memorial Day, State Public Works Minister and District Guardian Minister Dadaji Bhuse on Saturday offered a floral wreath at the Police Memorial at Police Drill Ground, Nashik.
The event was attended by Maharashtra Police Director Prabodhini Rajesh Kumar, Special Deputy Inspector General Dr. B. G. Shekhar Patil, Commissioner Ankush Shinde, District Superintendent Shahaji Umap, Chief Executive Officer of Zilla Parishad Ashima Mittal, and Deputy Commissioner Prashant Bachhao.
Speaking on the occasion, Dadaji Bhuse said on October 21, 1959, a contingent of 10 Central Reserve Police Force soldiers was attacked by the Chinese army at Hotspring in Ladakh.
Guardian Minister Dadaji Bhuse highlighted the significance of October 21 as a day of remembrance for the country, stating that ten brave soldiers sacrificed their lives fighting the enemy.
Officers and employees of the police force present on the ground also saluted the memorial.
