Kohima: Nagaland reported nine new cases yesterday, which increased the total number of corona virus-infected cases to 31,960 so far and with three reports of deaths in the pandemic, the death toll rose to 692.
According to a Nagaland Health Department bulletin today, among the nine fresh COVID cases yesterday, the new cases were detected from three districts of Nagaland, with six cases in Dimapur, two cases in Mokokchung and one in Kohima, taking the total caseload to 31960.
On the recovery of COVID-19 infected patients in the State 12 patients recovered from the pandemic in the state yesterday, taking the total number of recoveries to 30,047 with the COVID-19 recovery rate of 94 per cent.
Nagaland currently has 172 active cases of COVID-19, out of which 140 patients were asymptomatic, 18 were mild symptoms, four were moderate symptoms, five were severe symptoms and five were on ventilators in the ICU.
With three more reports of deaths of COVID patients with two in Dimapur and one in Mokokchung, the death tally rose to 692 during the day, the bulletin said.
