Nagaland records 60 new COVID positive cases

Kohima: Nagaland registered 60 new cases of coronavirus in the past 24 hrs due to which the state’s tally has spiked to 25, 619.

According to a Nagaland Health Department bulletin issued here today, among the 60 fresh COVID cases yesterday, the new cases were detected from all 11 districts of Nagaland with 17 in Kohima, 11 in Dimapur, eight in Phek, six in Mokokchung, five in Wokha, three in Kiphire, three in Mon, two in Peren, two in Tuensang, two in Zunheboto and one in Longleng.

The bulletin also informed that a total of 113 patients recovered from the COVID-19 infection during the same time frame, taking the tally of recovered cases to 23,271. The total number of active cases increased to 1,134.

There were four more COVID-19 fatalities in the state, with three from Dimapur and one from Wokha, pushing the death toll to 503, the report said.
