Nagaland records 33 new COVID positive cases

With no more death reported from any part of the state, the death toll remained at 610, the bulletin informed.

Kohima: The new cases of COVID-19 in Nagaland decreased to 33 new cases, which increased the total number of corona virus-infected cases rose to 29, 622 and with no more death, the toll remained at 610.

According to a Nagaland Health Department bulletin today, among the 33 fresh COVID cases yesterday, the new cases were detected from eight districts of Nagaland with 15 cases in Dimapur, eight cases in Mokokchung, three in Wokha, two in Kohima, two in Zunheboto, one in Peren, one in Phek and one in Tuensang, taking the total caseload to 29622, out of a total 2,118 tests in the last 24 hours. Of the new cases, 22 were detected during self-tests and random tests, 4 from returnees or travellers, 4 from traced contacts and 3 were from frontline workers.

On the recovery of COVID-19 patients in the State, altogether 87 patients were cured of the disease during the day, out of them 25 from Dimapur, 23 from Kohima, 23 from Zunheboto, 12 from Mokokchung, three from Peren and one from Wokha, taking the total number of recovery of COVID patients to 27,238, with a recovery rate of 91.76%.

Nagaland yesterday had 916 active patients, of them 714 patients are asymptotic, 157 are with the mild symptom, 18 are moderate with oxygen, 13 are severe with oxygen, five are critical in ICU without ventilator and nine are in ICU with ventilator. With no more death reported from any part of the state, the death toll remained at 610, the bulletin informed.
