Nagaland Ministers take COVID-19 vaccines

Deputy Chief Minister Yanthungo Patton and some other legislators also took the vaccine at NHAK. In his Twitter, Patton stated that he had received the first dose and would be receiving the second dose after 28 days.

Kohima: Nagaland Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio, his wife Kaisa Rio, Deputy Chief Minister, other Ministers and MLAs took the COVID-19 vaccine at Naga Hospital Authority, Kohima (NHAK) Wednesday.

Official sources said that talking to media persons after taking the vaccine; Rio called on the people to take vaccination without any hesitation. He said that the second phase of vaccination has come to the senior citizens, that it was an opportunity for all to take the vaccine. Rio expressed optimism that with this COVID 19 vaccine, “our country will be healthier and richer.”

Nagaland Minister for Health and Family Welfare S Pangnyu Phom; Adviser for Urban Development Municipal Affairs Dr Neikiesalie Nicky Kire; Minister for Soil & Water Conservation, Geology & Mining & Chairman NSMDC Kashiho Sangtam and renowned social worker Dr Rev. Wati Aier also took the first dose of the vaccine at District Hospital Dimapur. Phom appealed to all those who are eligible to take the vaccine without any hesitation and encouraged the people of Kohima and Dimapur district to set an example for those in the far-flung areas of the state, the official report stated.
