Kohima: The government of Nagaland has asked all its employees in the Nagaland Civil Secretariat and Directorates to get vaccinated and produced COVID-19 negative test reports in order to attend office.
In an official order, Nagaland Chief Secretary J Alam informed that the decision to this effect was taken by the state’s High Powered Committee on COVID-19 in its meeting on July 16. As per the order, unvaccinated staffers will have to produce COVID-19 negative test reports by getting tested after every 15-day interval through either RT-PCR, TrueNat and CBNAAT on a self-payment basis as per Government approved rates.
The order said that the salaries of those who have not taken a single dose of vaccine against COVID-19 or who have failed to furnish COVID-19 negative test report will be stopped beyond July 31, 2021, and they will not attend office. The period of absence of such employees will be treated as leave without pay,” the Chief Secretary’s order stated.
Administrative Head of Departments and Head of Departments have been directed to enforce the directive in their respective departments and submit reports to the Home Department on or before the 15th of every month with details of vaccination status.
