Nadda heaps praise on PM on 1 yr of vaccination drive

Expressing his gratitude to the millions of health and frontline workers, scientists, and people of the country for their concerted efforts to make this massive vaccination drive a success, Nadda said, "Over the past year, India has come together in this fight against Covid-19."

New Delhi: BJP national president Jagat Prakash Nadda on Sunday lauded Prime Minister Narendra Modi on a year of vaccination drive and said the task was made possible under the stellar leadership of the latter.

“Exactly a year ago, India embarked on the arduous journey of vaccinating its more than 135 crore people amid the raging Covid pandemic. A task that seemed impossible was made possible under the stellar leadership of PM Narendra Modi ji. The world stood up and applauded us,” the BJP chief tweeted on the occasion.

Expressing his gratitude to the millions of health and frontline workers, scientists, and people of the country for their concerted efforts to make this massive vaccination drive a success, Nadda said, “Over the past year, India has come together in this fight against Covid-19.”

“India has so far administered 156 crore vaccine doses, of which 99 crore doses have been given in rural India. Seventy per cent of our adult population is fully vaccinated. More than 3 crore children have got their first dose since the program began. India has led the fight against Covid-19,” the BJP president said in another tweet, while highlighting about the world’s largest vaccination drive.

As per the latest bulletin issued by the Union Health Ministry on Sunday, 156.76 crore doses of Covid-19 vaccine have been given so far under the ongoing nationwide vaccination drive.
