Agartala: Police recovered mutilated body of a 6 -yrs old tribal girl last night from deep jungle of Duski n Teliamura of Khowai district.
The victim family alleged that she was raped before being killed and dumped.
Police said she had gone missing from her courtyard while her mother was working home on Feb 22 late afternoon.
However, a young neighbour of the victim was detained last night. He was first reported the information of the body to the family. The matter was reported to police immediately after her missing but police couldn’t make any breakthrough yet.
Police said they have launched an investigation into the incident and a team of forensic experts has inspected the body before sending it for an autopsy.
