Mumbai: Man arrested for strangling mentally-challenged daughter to death

According to police, Manoj Agrahari allegedly strangled his daughter, Lovely, at their home in Dombivli when other members had gone out.

Mumbai: A 35-year-old man was arrested in Thane district of Maharashtra for allegedly strangling his 10-year-old mentally challenged daughter to death in their Thane home, police said on Monday.

According to police, Manoj Agrahari allegedly strangled his daughter, Lovely, at their home in Dombivli when other members had gone out.

Police further said a case of murder has been registered and an investigation is going on. The accused has been arrested and during the investigation, it was also found that accused Manoj Agrahari is an alcoholic and used to beat his wife, while the motive behind the crime is under investigation.
